Well, you probably noticed that we have a new banner. I knew I wanted it to be a grid of images, so I gathered up some product photos along with some new photos of the press and some pretty things that I thought would look good, and I sent them off to Kristin. She worked her magic, as usual! I love how it turned out. It's also up in our online shop, and a smaller version will soon be in our Etsy shop, too.
Also, we just got these lovely MOO cards in the mail today. It's our first time ordering them, and they're great! Really nice quality. They'll be thank you notes/coupons to our online shop for everyone who buys things from us at the upcoming holiday fairs. I think it's little details like this (along with having a quality product, of course) that help create loyal customers. And those loyal customers are the bread and butter of small, family-run businesses like ours.
Some businesses that have earned my loyalty:
Zettler's Hardware (for my household hardware needs) local, small, business that's been in the family (and the same downtown space) for 100 years
French Paper Company (for post-consumer recycled card stock) family-run, uses clean hydro electric power, gives you funny blow up dolls for free, great samples
Gans Ink (for soy-based inks) tons of free tootsie rolls in every box they ship
Northstar Cafe (for the best veggie burgers in the world) locally owned, locally sourced food, responsible employers
Green Paper Company (for post-consumer recycled envelopes) locally owned, super eco-friendly
Boxcar Press (for photopolymer plates) eco-friendly, super fast responses to questions, refers clients to me - their customer
R Design and Printing (for cutting and scoring) locally owned, family run, gives me printing advice and helps carry stuff out to my car
And it goes without saying that these businesses are all great at what they do and that they have wonderful customer service. Who are you loyal to?

Eva! I stumbled across your blog a few days ago. You are doing some awesome stuff. Any chance you want to hire an assistant? :) How are things? I'm still in Provo, working for an artist and making a transition into graphic and web design. Loving it so far.
I love the mini cards. What a great idea.
Hi Eva! It was good to see you again at Tiny Canary! Thank you for always wonderful advices, etc. I might try using your printer, R Design & Printing with my next cutting job. Hope all is well! Look forward to meeting you next time!
